Peak Potential Academy offers an interdisciplinary combination of challenging and progressive core academic classes, authentic in-depth projects, and insightful learning expeditions. Small class sizes allow for active participation, accountability, and high-level interaction with staff. Students are empowered to work with faculty to develop an academic plan that provides long-term academic success, personal challenge, and growth.

Students in Grades 4-8

We serve grades 4-8. These are critical years focused on mastering essential academic skills and making the transition to high-school. It is a time of emerging sense of self, increasing independence, and rapid social and emotional growth. Students in these years thrive in an environment of relevant, hands-on learning.

Student Athletes and Performers Grades 4-8

Bozeman continues to grow as an international hub of world class athletics and performing arts. Students committing to the highest levels of personal development have intense training, travel, performance, and competition schedules that often conflict with regular school hours. Working closely with parents, coaches, and trainers we will develop a learning plan that will maintain academic excellence, accommodate a unique schedule, and develop a whole child while they excel in their chosen field. Contact us to learn more about this program.

Facilities

We are based one block from historic downtown Bozeman at 201 S. Willson Suite A and have access to several field sites throughout the Gallatin Valley.

Faculty

We recruit and retain an exceptional and committed faculty who bring a wide variety of experience to the classroom.

Academics

Each day begins with the groundwork of challenging academic classes: Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Science and Spanish. Daily discipline in the craft of the essentials lays the foundation for everything that follows. Content mastery is emphasized over the traditional fixed-time learning model and small student to teacher ratio allows for individualized learning plans.

Project-Based Learning

In addition to the essential curriculum, we use Project-Based Learning, a teaching method in which students learn by engaging in authentic, real-world projects within their community. Students work on a project over an extended period of time – from a week up to a semester – that engages them in solving a real-world problem or answering a complex and relevant question and puts their essential academics to the test. They demonstrate their knowledge and skills by creating a product or presentation for a real audience. Students develop powerful content knowledge as well as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills while building powerful connections within the community.

Project-based learning is a system for thoughtful problem-solving in the 21st Century. As students become familiar with the process, they can apply the system to challenges they face. Students who engage in rigorous PBL develop the skills they need to truly become community leaders and life-long problem solvers who are committed to improving themselves, their community, and the world around them.
